CHENNAI: It was a day of double wins in the fourth round of the Rolon-FMSCI National road racing championship, as P. Karthik, K. Jagan, A. Sathish Kumar and R. Ashok Kumar rode to two victories each at the Madras Motor Race Track in Irungattukottai here on Sunday.
TVS Racing’s Karthik took the chequered flag in the second race of the expert Group B four-stroke 130-165 cc class after being relegated to third by teammate Harry Sylvester and Team Libra’s R. Deepak in the first race.
In the open class of the same category, Karthik won the first race, while Lucas Toppo took the top spot in the second outing.
A. Sathish dominated the intermediate Group C two-stroke 130-165 cc category, winning both races followed by M. Sudhakar and Vinoth Kumar in two and three.
The novice category Group D four-stroke (up to 130 cc) belonged to K. Jagan, who rode to the top spot in both races. Satyendra Oraon and R. Karthick, and A. Prabhu and Dinesh Kumar finished in the second and third spots respectively.
Comfortable wins
The mopeds event was swept by Ashok Kumar who registered wins by comfortable margins in both races, followed by A. Vinoth Kumar in second place.
