FIH Hockey WC: India go top after a thumping victory over Pakistan
New Delhi: Drag flicker and star defender Sandeep Singh scored twice from the penalty corner aas India beat thumped pakistan 4-1 in thier group opener to go top of Pool B after first round of match in the FIH Hero Honda World Cup at the Dyan Chand Singh National Stadium in New Delhi.

After Shivender Sing gave India the lead, drahg flicker Sandeep Singh scored twice from the penalty corner once in ech hald as India dominated the paly right from the start dominating the first half taking a 2-0 lead at the lemon break.
India extended thier lead right after the start before sandeep gave them a 4-0 lead before Sohail Abbas reduce the deficit from the resultin g penalty corner late in the second hald as India came out victorious 4-1 in a sold dispaly.
Earlier European Champions England shocked pre-tournament favourites Australia 3-2 in thr second match of the tournament.
