Indian women dropped from FIFA rankings

NEW DELHI: The Indian women’s team has been dropped from the FIFA world rankings as it has not played a single international match in the last 18 months.
The Indian women played their last international match in the AFC Asia Cup 2008 qualifiers in October 2007, when they went down to Iran 1-4 in Teheran.
India was ranked 50th in the world, and 11th in Asia, in the last FIFA women’s rankings.
