!"I thank Justice Katju to speak up. The truth is slowly but strongly taking surface
picture in India. People who demand the BHARAT RATNA shall know the defination of
BHARAT RATNA. The basic principal behind BHARAT RATNA is that the " Any citizen of
India who have served the nation with no self interest and gain" Now how on earth
SACHIN TENDUALKAR ever can be considered for such award as in 23 years Sachin have
made more money than runs he made. Other than self raising, he never made any
contribuation toward Indian Soceity. Fans of Sachin Tendualkar shall remember that b4
they claim be fan and chamcha of Sachin tendualkar, they Indian Citizen and they shall
not stand behind wrong side of Future History or they will be just ashmmed in their
coming generation.
ITS A LIE LIE LIE THAT WHOLE INDIA IS BEHIND THIS CHOCKER/SUSPECTED MATCH FIXURE/MONEY
MONGER AND POLITICAL INFLUNCED, SELF CONFESSED GOD NAMED SACHIN TENDUALKAR TO AWARD
HIM BHARAT RATNA.IN INDIA THERE ARE MILLIONS WHO DONT EVEN KNOW HIM AND MILLIONS WHO
TAKES HIM JUST AS A CRICKETER ONLY. HE HAVE NO CAPABILITY TO BE NAMED BHARAT RATNA.
IF HE GETS BHARAT RATNA THEN ALL KNOW THAT ITS HIS MONEY WHICH BOUGHT HIM THE AWARD
LIKE HE DID TO MAKE HIS RUNS.

Already Sachin already acquired lots of money and plots by Govt and People as
recognition. Have they donated anything to the Poor or any social cause. It is shame
and absurd if the Govt misuse the Bharat Ratna award. It should go to non commercial,
not money minded scientist, social workers

Cricketers and cinema artists already collected vast wealth and fame from public for
talents. All their talents are kept alive because of promotions through technological
development which they should thank to without which their height of fame and wealth
would never have made it. Without people dipping in their pocket to view their art or
feat (if that is what they did) would they have used their convenience and trouble to
seek their passion which is purely entertainment to the viewers? It would be
appreciative act or initiative on their part if they had really come forward on their
own accord to give back to people, who love their talents they display and raise them
in wealth, something in return from what they had collected from the people, in form
of institutions sports centre, academy, hospitals, and many more. Then, that would be
a cause for Bharat Ratna for their attempt to improve life of the people they love if
so they love. These awards are merely to facilitate the politicians dispensing such
awards to be seen with the rich and the famous already. The professional sports and
performing artist already have many many awards to be displayed on their
showcase/mantel. Give highest awards of the nation to deserving people,
who excel in any art which inspire the generation to be proud of and who has made it
with their best own struggle and efforts that will bring meaning of achievement for
praise not just for ceremony and celebrity display. Selected People who already
gained jewels from public applaud and paying to attend their performance their time
is to return something to people. The motto in The Bharat Ratna is to be down to earth
struggle and rise to excellence. Hence, considering Sachin tendualkar will put black
spot and shame on BHARAT RATNA.

We common man do not understand how a film star or cricketer become a "RATNA" of
Bharath. Whatever they do is for money and they do everything to make money...
And by acting or playing in their respective fields, what is their contributions to
the society...Can anyone explain... Tomorrow the government will include presidents of
all political parties who have completed a specific term for awarding bharath ratna...
and also those who have looted more wealth in the name of politics...

we all love Sachin for his achievements in cricket. He has earned well in the process
beyond any other sportsman pehaps. Bharat Ratna is to be awarded to a person who has
made stellar contribution to the Nation's progress and upliftment of the masses.his
contribution to socio-economic changes is negligible Hence it is wrong to consider
Sachin for Bharat Ratna.

Yes it is correct to say that it is not good to give to the cricketers/nor the film
stars, what they have done to the country to give this award, they have playing for
theri lively hood and making the money even in advertisement, but the chamchas and
brainless people only give this award to these worthless people and by that we are
down grading the award and on some other day some politicians also get it even though
he has been convicted in corruption/rape cass etc.,

agree with Justice Katju obervation. Not sure what is the hurry to give bharat ratna
to Tendulkar when his contribution to public life is zero and he is always in front
row to seek govt concession whether it is house or car. where is spirit of sacrifies
for the country. He such selfish guy that he has even never appeared in program like
Jai Jawan by NDTV etc ...See More

I agree with the gentleman. Would anyone give Nobel prize to Tendulkar? Why? Because
the prize is not meant for sports stars. Would Magsaysay award be conferred to
Shahrukh Khan? No, because that award is not meant to be given to the superstars,
Cricket who has destroyed Indians badly. It is the game of the lazy elites, which was
introduced by British feudalists in India for their own pastime. Real sportsmen play
Hockey,Football,Volleyball,Basketball,Tennis ETC. F**k Cricket!

national game. No harm is giving award to great sports people like dhyanchand,
P T Usha etc.posthumously to prominent film personalities
like Ashok Kumar in his birth centenary year. Even Dev anand should also be given
this highest honour

I agree with you. Bharat Ratna to Cricketer!!! who plays for himself, for money! How
can one compare sachin with Nehru, Gandhi, Gopalachari, Patel etc. What is his
contribution to the nation, is it 100 centuries in over 20 years? earning Cr of
Rs individually.
