The idea for Sporty India was conceived during a chat with some enthusiasts in 2003 at the Town Club of Neyveli.  The website was launched at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on 23 June 2005, on the eve of World Cup Volleyball championship qualifier.  We in Sporty India aiming to create awareness among general public about sports.
